Messick Road-Ridgeley 138-kV Transmission Line Rebuild Project
The Project consists of rebuilding approximately 4.0 miles of the existing Messick Road-Ridgeley 138 kV Transmission Line. Potomac Edison Company will rebuild approximately 2.0 miles of the transmission line in Allegany County, Maryland and approximately 2.0 miles of the transmission line in Mineral County, West Virginia. The proposed project is necessary to mitigate the risks associated with current conductor load limitations.
The Project has been presented to PJM, the regional transmission system operator. More information about the project can be found at www.pjm.com.
Virtual Public Engagement
A virtual public engagement platform will be available for review beginning September 18, 2024 through October 18, 2024 that provides additional information on the Project.
