Messick Road-Morgan 138-kV Transmission Line Rebuild Project

The Messick Road-Morgan 138-kV transmission line rebuild project proposes rebuilding approximately 27.3 miles of the existing transmission line. The Potomac Edison Company will rebuild approximately 16.4 miles of existing transmission line in Allegany County, Maryland and approximately 10.9 miles in Morgan County, West Virginia. The proposed project is necessary to mitigate the risks associated with current conductor load limitations.
