Dowling-Fulton 345-kV Transmission Line Tap to Melbourne Substation Project

The Dowling-Fulton 345 kV Transmission Line Tap to Melbourne Substation Project proposes to build a new, approximately 9 miles long, 345-kV transmission line that will extend from the existing Dowling-Fulton 345-kV Transmission Line to the proposed Melbourne Substation. The transmission line will be supported primarily on steel monopole structures. ATSI will also construct two approximately 0.5 mile long 345-kV transmission lines to connect the existing Sydney Substation to the proposed Melbourne Substation. The transmission line will be supported primarily on steel monopole structures.

The project will be located in the communities of the Delta Village, Fulton, Pike, Swan Creek and York Townships, Fulton County, Ohio. The Project will to enhance electric service reliability for existing customers, add redundancy to the network, and allow for future growth.

Local Public Hearing

A local public (non-adjudicatory) hearing will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the below location. At this meeting, the Board shall accept written and oral testimony from the public.
