A Letter From the New President of FirstEnergy Ohio

Greetings! As the new President of FirstEnergy Ohio, I have the pleasure of leading the electric companies that deliver power to you each day – Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company and Toledo Edison. When I joined the organization in June, I was new to FirstEnergy and northeast Ohio, but not to the industry or the Midwest. I have worked in energy for 25 years and lived in and around the city of Chicago for most of my life before moving to Ohio.

I am excited about joining an organization dedicated to improving the experience for you, our customers. Given my upbringing in a working-class family, our commitment to integrity, safety, reliability and operational excellence resonates with me.

In addition to focusing on our efforts to enhance your experience, I look forward to actively engaging with our communities on economic development efforts and opportunities to support causes that help our areas thrive.

Finally, I want to thank you, our customers, once again for the patience and understanding you showed during the historic August storm that affected almost 500,000 of our Ohio customers. Thank you for treating our crews with kindness, for opening your hearts and homes to neighbors and for reminding us all that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
