Galion-Roberts 138-kV Transmission Lines Rebuild Project Case No.: 24-0669-EL-BLN
In this project, ATSI is proposing to rebuild approximately 22 miles of the Galion-Roberts North and South 138-kV Transmission Lines. The project will consist of the following.
- Replace 130 existing lattice structures along the existing centerline, by using single steel monopole structures on concrete foundations.
- Install 2 new single circuit steel strain switch structures on concrete foundations.
- Replace two existing switches on the Galion-Roberts North 138-kV Transmission Line.
- Remove and replace existing structure #3836. This structure is a double circuit steel lattice tower that serves the Crissinger-Roberts No.2 138-kV and Galion-Roberts North 138-kV Transmission Lines. The Crissinger-Roberts No. 2 alignment directly outside of the Roberts Substation will be shifted approximately 65 feet to the west and the proposed new structure will only serve the Crissinger-Roberts No. 2 138 kV Transmission Line. The proposed new structure will be a single steel monopole with a concrete foundation.
- The existing conductor 336.4 kcmil 30/7 ACSR (Galion-Roberts North) and 477 kcmil 26/7 ACSR (Galion-Roberts South) will be replaced with new 795 kcmil 267 ACSR.
The project is located in the city of Marion, Tully, Scott, Grand Prairie, and Marion Townships in Marion County; and Washington and North Bloomfield Townships, Morrow County, Ohio.
