New Year, New Energy Resolutions: Ways to Manage Your Electric Bill in 2025

Saving 2025

January is the perfect time to make your yearly resolutions—and managing your energy bill can be an easy goal to check off your list. The best part? You don’t have to do it alone. We’re here to support you with resources, programs and tools to help make 2025 go even smoother.

Explore Your Options for Electronic Payments
In May 2024, we switched to a new third-party electronic payment vendor, ACI Speedpay®. Since then, we’ve been processing credit card and debit card transactions through this system. We also added Venmo and PayPal to our available payment options to give you even more flexibility in how you pay your monthly electric bill.

Beginning this month, bank account (ACH) payments are also being processed through ACI. If you make automatic payments via bank draft (ACH), you were automatically transitioned into the AutoPay Bank Account program. If you make one-time monthly payments with your bank account, you can continue to use this payment method in ACI.

Please note there are some changes to service fees charged by our third-party processor for one-time payments:

  • For residential customers, the third-party service fee for a one-time credit or debit card payment will decrease from $4.75 per transaction to $2.75 per transaction.

  • For commercial customers, the third-party service fee for a one-time credit or debit card payment will decrease from 3% to 2.75% of the total transaction.

  • There will be a new service fee of 50 cents per transaction for both residential and commercial customers making one-time payments by electronic check (ACH).

You can avoid all one-time payment service fees charged by our third-party vendor and stay current on your energy bill by enrolling in our AutoPay Credit Card or AutoPay Bank Account programs

For more information on this transition, please see the FAQs.
